My mum, Régine Gardan Maupilé, was a passionate abstract painter. She made colour her first language of emotion.

For her, colours were far more than mere shades: they carried emotions, energies and stories. I created this site to carry her legacy forward and to share a unique, timeless collection born from her hand.
Régine Gardan organised her work into distinct colour periods, from red to green by way of blue. Abstract painting gave her total creative freedom — the freedom to explore her imagination without the constraints of representation.
In this open space, colour becomes the very subject of the work, an invitation to feel rather than to recognise.
Régine Gardan drew her inspiration from Zao Wou-Ki, the French-Chinese painter famous for a non-figurative art where Western and Eastern sensibilities meet. Like her inspiration, she sought a form of liberation through abstraction: boundaries fade in favour of pure expression.

Her paintings are painted in oil on cotton canvas. The work unfolds in chromatic periods, from blue to red, from green to yellow, from pink to black, each canvas bearing a poetic title that reveals its essence.
I am Théo, Régine's son. When she passed away in 2018, her canvases remained, vibrant and luminous, exactly like her. Rather than let them sleep, I created Vitamin of Colors so that her work could live on and meet new eyes.
I am the one who runs this site and accompanies each painting to its new home. Every canvas that finds its place somewhere carries a little of her further along the way.
From the Amis des Arts salons to the Montmartre festivals of Bourgoin-Jallieu, Régine exhibited for over twenty years in the salons and galleries of Isère and the Lyon region. Her oil painting won fourteen awards along the way.
