Magnificent works. I have attended several of Régine’s exhibitions and have been lucky enough to see her at work. Her creations are timeless: they evoke emotion, carry a message and convey something profoundly powerful to whoever looks at them… I’ve spent some wonderful moments contemplating them and forming my own reading of each one.

I discovered in this artist a rare originality, instantly recognisable. Her works were not content with just being beautiful: they seemed inhabited, run through with an inner energy, as if each canvas captured a moment of life, an emotion, a mood, sometimes serene, sometimes tormented. What struck me deeply was her handling of colour. She could create harmony without ever taking the easy path. Her paintings held both softness and tension, poetry and a true chromatic storm. Her passing leaves a void, but her work remains. Thanks to this site created by her son, her painting continues its journey.

In 2022 I acquired a painting by Régine, while giving a hand to move her paintings. I got to admire many of her works that day. There are all kinds of emotions conveyed with power or softness. This style gives a lot of personality to an interior.

I never saw Régine's exhibitions, because we'd lost touch... but I fell, in her memory, for one of her paintings, which to me depicts a sad tree, like the end of her life, gone too soon. May her soul rest in peace.
