The simplest option is to hang them in a single row, with the same space between each canvas, and to centre the group on the wall or on the piece of furniture below. If the sizes differ, align them by their centres rather than by their top or bottom edges. A triangle, two below and one above, gives a looser look that suits small formats well.

Leave 5 to 8 cm between each canvas: the group then reads as a single composition, and each work keeps its own space. The wider the gap, the more the paintings read separately. For small formats, stay towards the lower end of that range.
