What the certificate guarantees
The certificate confirms that the canvas is an original work by Régine Gardan, its provenance and its place within the artist's collection. It is the document that accompanies the work over time: it establishes authenticity for you, and for any future gift or resale.
An original work, not a reproduction
Every work offered is an original abstract painting, made by hand by Régine Gardan. Each canvas is unique: no print, no edition, no series. It is this singularity (the gesture, the material, the colour laid down only once) that the certificate recognises.
Your rights, and the artist's
By buying a work you become its full owner: you may display it at home, pass it on, resell it. Under article L.111-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code, the sale of the canvas transfers no reproduction rights, however: the rights to the image of the work (prints, derivatives, commercial use) remain those of the artist and her estate.
